SPG Hospice is not a place but rather a service of individualized care, delivered directly to a patient in their home. Home may be that of a private home, group home or supported/assisted living environment… wherever the patient calls “home”.
Each patients needs are addressed with a team dedicated to their care consisting of an MD, RN Case Manager, Social Worker, Chaplain, Nursing Aide and a Volunteer Coordinator.
What Sets Us Apart
SPG Hospice has the ability to partner with its sister company, SPG Mobile, to provide both Physician as well as Nurse Practitioner visits to patients.
Our mission is not just to prevent death but to improve the quality of life! We believe if you treat a disease, you win, you lose, but if you treat a person you always win no matter what the outcome! Why can’t we treat death with a certain amount of humanity, dignity, decency, and humor? Death is not the enemy, if we are going to treat a disease let’s treat the greatest disease of all “indifference”.
SPG Hospice is here to provide quality, comfort care by giving each patient the following:
Individualized care in the privacy of the patients home
Medications, supplies and equipment related to the patients terminal illness
24/7 on-call services for emergency needs
Volunteers for companionship and support
Nursing aide visits to assist with day-to-day activities such dressing, bathing, and grooming
Regular visits by the care team
Our Approach to Care
SPG Hospice believes patient care needs are as unique as each individual patient. A patient’s plan of care reflects each patient’s individual needs, beliefs and culture.
Palliative Vs. Curative
Hospice care is for those individuals seeking a palliative rather than curative approach to their health care. Hospice does not seek to cure illnesses but rather provide comfort and quality of life to those receiving hospice services.
